Sanctuary Sweethearts: The Fosnights and Beth Marshall
During the aftermath of the Emergency Turlock Hen Rescue earlier this year, three amazing individuals reached out to Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary with a proposition we couldn’t refuse. Jen and Shawn Fosnight, the owners of Sacramento’s Never Felt Better Vegan Shop, and Beth Marshall, the owner San Francisco’s Little Monsters Pet Care, offered to raise funds through a vegan bake sale and silent auction to benefit the starving hens who nearly drowned in the manure pits at an abandoned factory egg farm.
Collectively, the grassroots events generated funds to support the care of these special hens for over year. We’re incredibly grateful for the random acts of kindness from this wonderful trio of hardworking animal advocates. Timing is everything. We thank Jen, Shawn and Beth for stepping in to help at a time of great need.
